Duo Fratelli consists of brothers Soren and Laec Lorentzen, who have been performing together since they were very young. Although Soren is now in his third year of music studies at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, they continue to perform together whenever they are in the same place at the same time! As a viola and cello duo, they most often perform modern repertoire together, although they have also enjoyed transcribing other genres for their instruments. Duo Fratelli is pleased to offer a program of 20th and 21st Century Classical music, featuring repertoire from well known composers such as Hindemith and Piston, as well as the lesser known Norwegian composer Kjell Marcussen, who is a friend of the CPO's own Rune Bergman.
