Dec 2025: Peaks + Prairies Ensemble's Holiday Tour
Violinist Lidia Lee received her Bachelor and Master of Music Degree in Violin Performance on scholarship at the University of British Columbia under David Gillham. She then went on to further train with David Stewart, former Concertmaster of Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, for a one-year study in Bergen, Norway.
Lidia has attended Tanglewood Music Center as a Violin Fellow for two summers, where she performed under acclaimed conductors Andris Nelsons, Herbert Blomstedt, Bramwell Tovey, Charles Dutoit, among others. Other summer festivals include Orford Music Academy, Domaine Forget, and Camp Musical des Laurentides.
Having started her musical journey with piano at age five, Lidia also holds her Grade 10 RCM Certificate in piano and has received numerous awards at the Kiwanis Music Festival and Burnaby Clef Music Society in Vancouver.
She is currently a regular first violin substitute member of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. Prior to moving to Calgary, she was a first violin member of the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra and a substitute member of Opera Bergen during her stay in Norway. She is also a dedicated teacher, teaching both violin and piano.
