CHRISTINE SUL, PIANO

Born in Korea, Yun Seo (Christine) Sul started playing piano at the age of 6, beginning her studies with Prof. Taehee Park at the prestigious Busan Arts High School. Later in Canada, Christine completed her Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Calgary, studying with Prof. Marilyn Engle. Christine has received numerous distinguished accolades in Korea, including top prizes at the Busan Joongang and the Changwon International Meister Piano Competitions. Christine made her orchestral debut in 2008 when she performed Mozart Piano Concerto No. 21 in C Major, K. 467 with the Soloists of Volgograd Orchestra. In 2020 she became a finalist of the Calgary Concerto Competition, where she was set to perform with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra prior to the COVID-19 closures. Christine also recently became the Prairies Favourite for the 19-25 years old division of the Canadian Music Competition.
